A Plein Air Holiday being planned for October 2026
We will spend a week sketching and painting daily in and near Trôo, a beautiful troglodyte city in the Loire Valley’s wine country. October is harvest season. Kate, of Plein Air Holidays is sure to fill the week with visits to wine caves, vineyards, winemakers and wonderful food experiences.

Travel Sketch in Spain
April 16-23, 2025, Cádiz
Semana Santa
I was thrilled to be invited by Pleinair Holidays to return to Cádiz and lead a sketch workshop during Easter Week. We were visited by the holy passos outside our hotel window, and stood an arms length away from others as they marched by. We sketched with the local sketchers of Cádiz and visited painter Cecilio Chaves’s studio. We listened to Hayden in the Cathedral, went to the fish market and had a hootenanny with other travelers.
